Course Description

This course will provide students with experience in creating
images and designs using computer graphics, design and drawing
programs. Topics will include graphic design, illustration, image
manipulation, image processing, and 3D graphics. Students will
combine these elements in a variety of projects to create original
designs.

Colored sketch

First I duplicated the background layer. Then with the new layer selected, convert the photo to a sketch.
(Image>Adjustments>Desaturate, then filter>Stylize>Find Edges. Adjust the Levels if Necessary
Image>Adjustments>Levels). Then you have to duplicate the original background layer, (with the bottom layer selected go to Layer>Duplicate Layer). Then click, hold and drag the new layer to the top. Then with the top layer selected change the layer blending mode to Hard Light. Then change the layer opacity to around 75%. You will have a nice colored sketch of your original picture.
